Go back to the Step Sequencer window and notice how FL Studio has placed a pattern in the channel with the instrument.
Now jump back to Edison, and go to the Tools menu (the icon for the menu item is a wrench), then choose ‘Convert to Score and Dump to Piano Roll’ under the Analysis submenu. I’m going to add an instance of the FL Keys. Now go to the Step Sequencer (use F6 to open the window if it’s not already open), and add an instrument via the Channels menu. Drag and drop an audio file into Edison’s waveform editor. Double-click it to bring up its user interface. First add Edison to an FL slot in the mixer (use F9 to bring up the Mixer if it is not showing).
